来英国也有一学期了，最近在看有木有暑期的实习机会，在targetjob[1]上看到这篇文章“Which graduate career offers the best pay?”，主要讲了英国的不同专业的应届生的薪资，数据都来自于the Institute of Student Employers (ISE, 2021-11) 。文章中提到，那些学法律的拿到的薪资最高，毕业时平均能拿到年薪42250英镑，第二的是搞金融的，平均年薪32850英镑，第三是搞IT的（程序员），平均年薪31750英镑。从整体看，2021年应届生的平均年薪达30500英镑，而2020年是29667英镑。除了到手薪资，还有各种福利(benefits)和激励措施(incentives)[2]，比如免费的早午餐，养老金，私人健康保险等。我看完的感觉就也没那么大冲击，其实薪资的下限还可以，但上线不高呀（和美国比），而且英国这边工作岗位大多集中在伦敦，以搞金融的居多，当然，也要考虑这边的Work Life Balance，毕竟国内现在很卷呀。下面是各行业详细的解读。

程序员

咱们先看毕业在英国当程序员能拿多少钱。这边，小型的创业公司年薪24000英镑起步，而大公司年薪会高一点，一些大公司会给出超过40000英镑，比如Alfa, Lloyds Banking Group, TPP等。下面列几个知名大厂2022年的graduate scheme的薪资[3]：

  • Airbus: £27,000–£28,000
  • Alfa： £40,000
  • BAE Systems：£30,000
  • Bank of England：£31,000
  • IBM：£32,000 最少
  • TPP：£50,000 (software development and technical engineering graduate schemes)

电子/电气工程师

取决于公司和位置，但起步年薪大概在26000-29000英镑，中小型公司会低一点，通常在18000-25000英镑之间，而大的公司还是可以开到30000英镑以上的，比如一些石油天然气公司，我觉得现在全球芯片吃紧，对EE专业的同学应该是利好吧，毕竟芯片人才十分紧缺。同时，也可以去考证（chartered engineer），工资会高很多，根据Engineering Council在2014年的一份调查，认证工程师平均年薪达63000英镑，包括了各种福利奖金等。下面列几个知名大厂2020年的graduate scheme的薪资[4]：

  • BP(做石油的): £35,000–£45,000
  • BMW Group: £31,000
  • Airbus: £27,000
  • Jaguar Land Rover: £29,000
  • Mercedes AMG High Performance Powertrains: £33,000

律师(solicitor)

做律师还是很吃香的，工资也很高，但是各个地区的差距还是很大的，对于第一年的实习律师，大部分律师事务所都能开到40000-50000英镑年薪，还提供各种福利，比如无利息的贷款，各种保险和健身房会员等。下面列几个知名律师事务所的graduate scheme的薪资：

  • Addleshaw Goddard LLP: £40,000 (London), £27,500 (Leeds and Manchester), £23,500 Scotland/£38,000 to £70,000 depending on location
  • Irwin Mitchell: £38,000 (London), £26,500 (regional)
  • White & Case LLP: £48,000/£105,000
  • Dentons: £44,000(London), £31,000 (Milton Keynes and Watford), £24,000 (Scotland)/£75,000 (London), £48,000 (Milton Keynes and Watford), £40,000 (Scotland)

大律师(barrister)

国外的各种法律都很成熟，所以国外的公司一言不合就打官司，自然也就高薪了，而国内小公司基本都不会有专门的法律顾问。通常，面向商业和法官的年薪达40000英镑到70000英镑，而公共资助的律师工资就没那么高了，伦敦地区基本在18960英镑，非伦敦地区就16601英镑。

这边出现两个律师：solicitor和barrister，两者是不同的。

barrister和solicitor的区别：在英国和在香港，律师的抬头就更加细分了。律师分为两种，solicitor是普通事物律师或简称为律师，其职责大体上是处理各种法律文书，接受各种诉讼委托，准备庭审所需的各种文件，其出庭的发言权是受到限制的；只有所谓的大律师或大状（barrister）才在所有法院享有不受限制的出庭发言权，可在庭上与原告律师或控方（the Prosecution/prosecutors）唇枪舌剑，展开辩护（advocacy），但他们不能直接与讼人/当事人接触。市民有意聘用大律师要先行与律师（solicitor）接触，搜集案件的证据和会晤证人等事，是由律师办理的[5]。

会计/审计

起薪基本在20000-28000英镑，也要看公司和地区，一些知名大公司，比如四大(EY, KPMG, PwC and Deloitte)，会给很高的薪水。获得专业机构的资格通常需要三到四年的时间，大多数会计雇主会给你支付考试费用并给你学习的时间。

  • National Audit Office: £24,000(Newcastle ), £29,000(London)

投资银行

银行的薪资也挺高的，应届生可以开到25000-60000英镑，还提供各种其他福利，比如可自由支配的奖金、人寿保险、健身房会员、养老金计划和私人医疗保健。不过一般graduate programme是2-3年，根据个人表现涨薪，到6年，薪资会达到**120,000+**镑，真是让人羡慕。

金融服务和保险业

金融服务包括很多领域，比如零售银行，精算，风险监管等，根据雇主、地区和职位的不同，薪资一般在28000-35000英镑，平均年薪在31425英镑，伦敦地区平均年薪在33000英镑，最少的是英格兰西北地区27000英镑，伦敦消费也高呀！

  • Santander: £30,000
  • Zurich Insurance Group: £28,000 for change and technology management, finance, and business management, and £31,000 for the actuarial and data programmes

咨询

大多数公司发offer前都不会透露具体的工资，位置告诉你的就是”competitive“或”highly competitive“的薪资，其实有很多公司都是这样，大多数咨询工资会有很多福利，有的还会提供读MBA的赞助费，常见的福利有：

  • 商业医保和牙医
  • 健身房津贴
  • 养老金
  • 优秀奖励
  • 用工资来换假期
  • 免费的午餐

在英国，咨询工作的工作时长一般比其他行业长，所以一些公司会提供额外的work life balance相关的福利，比如灵活办公。

建筑和土木工程

包括建筑工程师，工料测量师，建筑助理等，建筑专业应届生年薪通常在24000-30000英镑之间，根据ISE 2021年的调查，平均年薪28000英镑。

财产评估师

应届生年薪范围大概在20000-30000英镑，还和具体领域和位置有关，财产评估师如果考到了the Royal Town Planning Institute或者the Royal Institute的证书（APC），工资会高很多，所以在找工作时需要特别留意公司的工作是否有利于你以后考这个证书，根据Hays的一份调查显示，如果获得认证，薪资范围大概在29000（威尔士和苏格兰地区）-42500（伦敦地区）英镑之间。同时不同的行业薪资也有所区别：

  • Agency/leasing: £22,000 outside of London and £35,500 in London
  • Corporate real estate: £25,000 outside of London and £28,200 in London
  • Development consultancy: £26,550 outside of London and £27,000 in London
  • Development management: £23,250 outside of London and £32,000 in London
  • Land/acquisitions: £27,000 outside of London and £35,000 in London
  • Landlord and tenant: £23,500 outside of London and £30,500 in London
  • Planning: £24,000 outside of London and £28,000 in London
  • Property management: £25,000 outside of London and £27,000 in London
  • Valuation: £23,000 outside of London and £30,000 in London

零售行业

根据Cibyl2020的调查，应届生薪资起薪大概在22000-25000英镑，Aldi和Lidl薪资给的最爽快，分别能开到44000英镑和37000英镑，甚至还会配一辆BMW 3系，零售行业下面的细分领域如下：

零售管培生

  • Aldi: £44,000 plus an BMW 3 series
  • Halfords: £24,000
  • Farmfoods: £22,000
  • Lidl: £37,000 plus a car
  • Marks & Spencer: £24,000 plus location allowance where applicable
  • McDonald’s: £22,000–£25,000 depending on location.
  • Tesco: £28,000

销售

  • Boots: £26,000
  • Lidl: £37,000 plus a car
  • Tesco: £28,000

电子商务与技术

  • Boots: digital programme – £26,000. Software engineering programme – £29,000
  • Tesco: technology programme, technology cyber security programme, technology software engineering programme and technology product programme – £32,000

供应链和物流

  • Boots: £26,000
  • Lidl: £37,000 plus a car

教师

老师的话，分钟类，早期职业教师（Early Career Teacher，ECT）刚毕业大概25714英镑，伦敦地区在32157英镑，继续教育老师（Further Education，FE）通常是19758-23997英镑（未认证）和24702-37258英镑（认证）。不同学术机构和私立学校工资也不一样。如果承担一些额外的工作会有额外的报酬，学校也会根据老师的表现提供奖励。

政府、公共服务

英国MI5（The Security Service，俗称军情五处），供技术相关的应届生34366英镑，大都会警察（The Metropolitan Police Service）年薪在24177到30369英镑间，HM Revenue & Customs年薪在30880英镑到35105英镑，the Intellectual Property Office 33101英镑，NHS在24628到28966英镑间。

酒店、会展、旅游

麦当劳管培生在24000-27000英镑间，酒店行业管培生年薪在19000-24000英镑，根据Hays的研究（Hays UK salary and recruiting trends 2020），会展相关年薪在18000-26000英镑，而会展经理年薪在30000-38000英镑，旅游业没有太多毕业生的项目，不过大多也在20000-32000英镑。

  • InterContinental Hotel Group: £21,000 and £23,000
  • Firmdale Hotels:£21,000 and £23,000

总结

对比下来看，程序员的薪资在英国并不是很高，不像国内，谈到程序员就想到高薪（抛开工作时长）。在英国，不论做什么都能拿到不错的工资，但还是开头说的，工资的上限不高，基本算得上小富，想大富还是很难的，尤其是在伦敦，生活租房都是一笔很大的开支。
